Overview

This Communication in Care Skills course provides the knowledge and skills necessary for health and care staff to be able to gain an understanding of Communication in Care and the effect on the individual positive and negative and enhance the working experience.

Target Learners

This course is designed for health and care staff who work with individuals who are experiencing communication issues and associated emotions and behaviours. No prior knowledge is required to undertake this course. However, the Equality and Diversity, course may enhance Knowledge Base.

Outcomes

Delegates will have the knowledge and skills to enhance the delivery of care and have an understanding of communication in care issues affecting the Individual.

Assessment

Assessment is by practical observation, Question and Answer, discussion groups led by tutor and a written test.

Qualification

Successful candidates will be presented with a certificate detailing areas covered.
