Level 4 Diploma in Adult Care (RQF)
Level 4 Diploma in Adult Care (RQF) for staff in a Senior Carer Role or who are wanting to progress to a Junior Manager or Care Manager role. It is for students who are already working in care in a supervisory capacity, perhaps as a senior carer or senior support worker and wish to increase their knowledge. It builds on knowledge and skills learned in the level 3 qualification and adds some additional supervisory management and leadership knowledge and skills or provide coaching and mentoring to their colleagues. The level 4 diploma in care will further, specialist skills and knowledge in their area of responsibility which enables them to lead in areas such as assessment or enablement, for instance. Learners will have responsibility for assessing performance and quality of care delivery.
For employers, it ensures your staff have the correct levels of knowledge and skills to undertake care manager roles where they will be supervising other staff and are responsible for the quality of care delivery. This qualification is for learners who are working as; senior care workers, senior healthcare assistants, care managers, deputy managers, etc
The Level 4 Diploma in Adult Care (RQF), replaces the NVQ 4 in Health and Social Care.

Structure of Qualification
There are mandatory and optional units. Learners must achieve a total of 70 credits. 36 credits will come from the mandatory units. 34 credits will come from the optional units. There are 12 mandatory units. Learners can choose from a selection of over 20 optional units.
