Level 2 Diploma in Care (RQF) is the basic entry level qualification for care staff. It is the qualification all care staff must have. It was known as the NVQ level 2 in care. It is for students who work or wish to work in health or social care. This qualification is for learners who are working as; care workers, healthcare assistants, support worker, personal assistant etc
The Level 2 Diploma in Care (RQF), replaces the NVQ 2 in Health and Social Care.
This is a qualification for both health and social care jobs. Leaner can join either the healthcare or social care workforce with this level 2 diploma.

This qualification is eligible for funding from the Skills for Care Workforce Development Fund

Structure of Qualification
There are mandatory and optional units. Learners must achieve a total of 46 credits. 24 credits will come from the mandatory units. 22 credits will come from the optional units. There are 9 mandatory units. Learners can choose from a selection of over 100 optional units.
